How to fillet Mackerel

I came up with this post in a hope to help those who are curious to know how to go about and fillet Mackerel to prepare my delicious recipe of Mackerel Recheado.
This should possibly help people like me who get fish cleaned from markets.
So when I want to prepare Mackerel stuffed, i use some simple tricks to get the perfect Mackerel fillets to suit my needs.




Here's what u need to do:
  • Wash the cleaned fish. 
  • Now freeze the fish for 4 hrs.
  • Once they are frozen but not iced, take the fish out and with a sharp knife fillet the fish. Here you need to use the knife from the tip of the bone so that fish comes out clean without any tiny bones left in between.
  •  Now do the same step on the other-side.

  • And you will get perfect fillets of mackerel.
